Julie Ward (politician)
Julie Ward (born 7 March 1957) is a British Member of the European Parliament for the North West England region for the Labour Party. She was elected in 2014.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=vote 2014 - North West )〕
She is an active campaigner for equal rights and social justice, most recently organising local events for One Billion Rising, the global movement to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
Prior to being elected as an MEP, she had been working with partners in the EU and beyond, for more than a decade. She was third on the Labour Party list for the European Parliament in the 2014 elections to the European Parliament and was elected with Labour taking a third seat from the Lib Dems in the North West England region.
